There are two main women’s welfare schemes that are run in the state of Chhattisgarh: Rani Durgavati Yojana, and 2nd is Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana. Under this scheme, the CG government, on the birth of a child, gives financial assistance of 20,000 rupees. Chhattisgarh Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana

This scheme is managed by the Ministry of Labour, under which, to date, more than 1,70,000 women are getting the benefits. This scheme mainly provides benefits to the families of the construction workers. Any of the wives of the construction workers will get pregnant, or the women themselves, or the construction workers, and then, at the time of financial assistance, will be given to them and their child.

In this scheme, a total one-time financial assistance amount of Rs.20,000 will be given to fulfil the nutrition of the mother and child. By giving this financial assistance, the government wants to ensure about the nutrition diet will be available for the mother and child too. The amount will be given during the time of her pregnancy and after the birth of the baby. By getting this amount, they can take care of themselves and their baby too. The previous name of this scheme was Bhagini Prasuti Shayata Yojana, but on 12th May 2022, this scheme was renamed to its new name, i.e. Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana.

Main Features

• Objective: The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial security and proper care during pregnancy and delivery.
• Financial Help: The one-time lump-sum amount of Rs. 20,000 will be given.
• Eligibility: All female construction workers, wives of construction workers, and their children who are registered with the Chhattisgarh Building and Construction Department.
• Application Period: For this scheme, beneficiaries can apply within 90 days of the birth of the child.
• Distribution of Amount: Financial help is given through DBT mode, in which the government directly transfers the amount.

Financial Support

Every eligible construction worker or the wife of a construction worker who is registered with the concerned department will get financial support from the government during pregnancy and after the birth of the child. The amount is Rs. 20,000, which is given only one time. And the same is credited to the bank account of the woman.

Applicant Eligibility Criteria

• This scheme is only for people who are residing in the state of Chhattisgarh.
• The pregnant women of the state will be eligible to receive financial benefits.
• A woman or her husband should be a construction worker and registered with the department at least 90 days before applying for this scheme.
• The financial status of the women must belong to the EWS category.
• Pregnant women also registered for their pregnancy in any of the health centres or government hospitals.
• Women can take the financial benefits of this scheme for a maximum of two children. ‘
• All construction workers who are working in government departments or public institution are not get benefits from this scheme.

How to avail the Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana?

• After checking the complete eligibility criteria and then collecting the documents, you can all apply online for this scheme.
• You need to open the official portal of the Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana, i.e. Hamar Pehchan.
• After visiting this portal, you have to register on the portal.
• Then, from the schemes section, choose the Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana.
• In front of the name of the scheme, you will get the link to apply. Click on it, and the login form opens in front of you. Here you first create the account.

Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana Registration

• To create the account, you have to complete the registration with the help of your Aadhaar card and Mobile Number.
• Then choose the user ID and password, and then enter the details.
• Now, here you have to verify your mobile number by generating a one-time password.
• Now select the ID type with the help of which you are going to verify yourself. And the same documents also need to upload in your account.
• Accept all the terms and conditions, and then enter the details of the Captcha and submit them.

Login Process

• When you successfully registered on the portal, then using your User ID and password login in to the account.
• Here you will check that the Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana Application Form is open.
• Now enter the rest of the details and then upload documents.
• Now, finally submit the details. In this way, you will apply for this scheme successfully.
