This scheme is managed by the Ministry of Labour, under which, to date, more than 1,70,000 women are getting the benefits. This scheme mainly provides benefits to the families of the construction workers. Any of the wives of the construction workers will get pregnant, or the women themselves, or the construction workers, and then, at the time of financial assistance, will be given to them and their child.

In this scheme, a total one-time financial assistance amount of Rs.20,000 will be given to fulfil the nutrition of the mother and child. By giving this financial assistance, the government wants to ensure about the nutrition diet will be available for the mother and child too. The amount will be given during the time of her pregnancy and after the birth of the baby. By getting this amount, they can take care of themselves and their baby too. The previous name of this scheme was Bhagini Prasuti Shayata Yojana, but on 12th May 2022, this scheme was renamed to its new name, i.e. Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana.

Main Features
