To support women in Chhattisgarh, a welfare scheme called Mahtari Vandan Yojana is run in the state. - Reopen Portal: After expanding the scheme eligibility in Mahtari Vandan Yojana, now the government, with the concerned department, i.e., the Women and Child Development Department of the state, is going to reopen the portal for new registration. The portal is going to be reopened very soon, within one week from the date of announcement.
- Phase-wise New Registration: The new registration for this scheme has started phase-wise, i.e. firstly started from the Bastar Division of Chhattisgarh and then in all the divisions of the state.
- Special Addition: Now the female Naxalites who surrender before 1st March 2026 will also be included in this scheme to get financial assistance of Rs. 1,000 in the new Registration Drive.

- In this scheme, every woman will get the monthly financial support of Rs. 1,000. Every year, a total of 12,000 will be given to them directly into their accounts.
- If any of the women from the state who receive the pension, which is less than Rs. 1000, then they get the higher amount.
- By providing fixed monthly support to the women, the government wants to make women economically independent, so that they can also make decisions for their families.
- The amount can be used by the beneficiaries according to their own need and choice. They can spend the amount on their health, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
- Interested applicants are permanently residing in the state of Chhattisgarh.
- Applicant must be a woman and married. Women who are widows, divorcees and abandoned are also eligible.
- The age of the women to avail these benefits is about 21 years minimum.
- Now, in the expanding criteria of the scheme, surrendered women Naxalites are also eligible for this scheme.
- Women who belong to a family in which any of the members is in a government job or a taxpayer are not eligible for this scheme.

- Chhattisgarh residence certificate.
- Identity proof of the woman
- Date of birth certificate
- Bank account details, which are only open in the name of the woman, i.e., a single account, and are also linked with the Aadhaar Card
- An active mobile Number which is linked with Aadhaar and the account.
Requirement
- The woman has only a single account in the bank. The joint bank account is not valid for the scheme.
- The eKYC of the account is also completed to get the DBT Payment.
Steps For Mahtari Vandan Yojana Registration
The registration portal is going to be reopened very soon. So when the registration portal reopens, you can follow the steps given below.
- Registration can be completed through the online portal or through the mobile App.
- Now when government has opened the registration link, it will appear on the home page of the website.
- Now here have to enter the Mobile Number and then get OTP.
- After putting in the OTP details, you will get the Application Form here.
- Fill the application form and then upload all the prepared documents by scanning them.
- Check your form details and then finally submit.
Offline Registration
The government also give you another way to complete the registration in offline mode. For offline mode, you have to visit the local offices like:-

- Gram Panchayat

And then fill the application form, and with the documents, submit them to the same local offices.
