Objective of the Scheme

Usually, when cows stop providing milk, the owner of the cows will send them on the road. So the government wants to stop them from doing it. The government decided to continue buying the cow dung from all registered applicants, so that Farmers should not leave them on the street as stray animals. Because due to Stray animal, there are so many road accidents. Government always trying to provide help to farmers to enhance their income.

  • Financial Assistance Scheme: This government financial assistance scheme, in which the government purchase the Cow Dunk from farmers and provides them with financial help.
  • Purchase of Cow Dunk: In this scheme, the government buys the Cow Dunk from Cow Shelter or from farmers at the rate of 2 Rupees per KG.
  • To make Vermicompost: By using the Purchased Cow Dung, the Self Help Group women can make the Vermicompost and can sell it at 10 rupees per kilogram.
  • For women’s empowerment: It will also help women’s empowerment.
  • Financial Security: It will provide financial security to the Farmers, women of the state.

Requirement for Scheme

The most important requirement from the beneficiaries is that the amount of the Cow dung is given to the farmers through the DBT mode of Payment. Which means the government choose the direct benefits for farmers to maintain transparency. That’s why beneficiaries required the Saving bank account in their name, and it should be linked with an Aadhaar Card. So that every time they all received the amount directly in their account.

The Government of Chhattisgarh decided to implement this scheme in two phases. Which means in the first phase, the government added a cow shelter in the scheme and in 2nd phase, all the cattle owners will be added, and the government will buy cow dung from them. The government buys the Cow Dunk at Rs. 2 Per Kilo Gram. Till 2023, the CG government deposited 12 Crore 72 Lakhs in the account of the beneficiary.
