CG Mukhyamantri Bijli Bill Bhugtan Samadhan Yojana was launched by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on 12th March 2026. This scheme is launched for the general public, in which any person having a previous pending electricity bill can now pay their billing and continue their electricity connection. For the successful implementation of the scheme, the state government gave this responsibility to State Power Distribution Company Limited.

This company has worked to provide electricity and collect bills from all over the state. The state government is removing the entire surcharge for the pending bills. Keeping this problem in mind, the state government started Mukhyamantri Bijli Bill Bhugtan Samadhan Yojana, which will provide relief to the consumers, and they can easily resolve outstanding electricity bills. Special discounts will be provided to the BPL domestic and agricultural consumers. BPL consumers will get 75% rebate on the principal amount and also get 100% rebate on the surcharge.

Inactive domestic and agricultural consumers will get 50% rebate on the principal amount and 100% rebate on the surcharge. With this scheme, 28.42 lakhs electricity consumers will benefit. With this scheme, the state government will collect 1566 Crore Rupees as a pending bill amount, and consumers will get the benefit of 757 Crore Ruupees.

  • The electricity connection will be active according to the records of the Electricity Distribution Company.
