The Chhattisgarh State government started the welfare program in Favour of Farmers of the state, in which the government offers a financial grant annually. The name of this program is Deendayal Upadhyaya Landless Agricultural Labourer Welfare Scheme, which is also known as Deendayal Upadhyaya Bhoomiheen Krishi Majdoor Kalyana Yojana.

All the landless labourers of Farmers who are doing the agricultural activities and also their families will receive the grant of Rs. 10,000 annually direct in their own bank account. In this scheme, the government is going to give financial support to 5 lakh beneficiaries from the state. All the farmers, after getting this economic support from the government, raised their living standard and also changed their economic status.

The Chief Minister of the state of Chhattisgarh, to fulfil their promises to the public, implemented the Deendayal Upadhyaya Landless Agricultural Labourer Welfare Scheme in the state. This scheme is also in the list of promises which is presented by the Bhartiya Janta Party during the time of the Assembly election. Through this scheme, the government offer to provide the financial support of 10,000 per year to support all the landless labourers of the state. It will also raise their income. The scheme mainly focuses on the people who are landless or Bhumiheen, who don’t have their own land and doing the agriculture activities on other people’s land, and their families fully depend on agriculture Labour.

Objective of the Scheme

Most of the public in the state depends on different kinds of activities, but they do not earn enough. So, the government, after taking the decision for some special citizens of the state who have occupations like Landless Agriculture Labourers, Cobbler, Priest, Majhi, Washermen, etc., implemented this scheme. By giving them annual support, they will enhance their net income per year. And the same amount can be used by them for their basic needs like education, healthcare services, etc. Not only this, but the government also enhance their livelihood and provides them with financial security.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scheme

• All the permanent residents of the Chhattisgarh state are eligible for this scheme to get benefits from the government.
• The beneficiary and his family don’t have any kind of agricultural land in their name.
• The following workmen are added in this scheme: Priest, Majhi, Cobbler, Labourer, Carpenter, Blacksmith, Barber, Washermen, Baiga, Gunia, etc.

Documents Needed for Scheme

• Copy of the Aadhaar Card of the applicant and also his family members
• Kindly submit the bank account copy details that are linked to the Aadhar Card of the beneficiaries
• Submit your Bonafide certificate, Ration card, or Voter Card for residence proof of Chhattisgarh.
• All category beneficiaries have to submit the occupation certificate issued by the authority.
• A passport-size photo with an active mobile number, which is also linked to the Aadhar Card of the applicant.

• To be the beneficiary of this scheme, the offline mode is available.
• But all those people who are already registered with the old scheme, i.e. Rajiv Gandhi Landless Agriculture Labourer Nyay Yojana, do not need to submit the form. They all automatically become the new beneficiaries of this new scheme.
• The new beneficiaries who check eligibility and want to become beneficiaries collect the application form from your local Gram  Panchayat and from the Nagar Panchayat Office.
• Fill the form according to your documents, paste a photograph, sign in the given place and then attach documents.
• Check the form and submit it to the same Panchayat Office of your area.
• The Panchayat Officials forwarded your form to the department for verification.
• When verification is completed, you will be able to start receiving the benefits of the scheme.
