Chhattisgarh Anganwadi Worker Saree Scheme
As we all know, all the Anganwadi worker and their assistants receive the readymade uniform every year from the side of the Government. Because a uniform has a specific colour and design. But there are so many complaints and suggestions that have been received by the department about the fabric quality, etc.
To maintain the transparency in this scheme, the government now make the changes in this scheme. Now they have abolished the Saree Purchasing system and are going to provide the Fund to purchase the Saree of their Own Choice. The concerned Department is going to transfer the amount into the account of the Anganwadi Worker and Assistant directly. Now, after getting the same amount in their bank, beneficiaries can buy the Saree as per their own choice.
The announcement about this new change was made by the Women and Child Development Department Minister Laxmi Rajwade.

Why Major Changes Were Made in the Anganwadi Worker Saree Scheme, Chhattisgarh?
The changes have been made after getting the complaints, suggestions, and reviewing the Saree Purchase system. Because the beneficiaries have their own choice, some of them wear cotton, some of them wear silk, etc. That’s why the department decided to provide the fund to all the beneficiaries instead of purchasing the Saree. Now every employee will get the fund for their Saree in their account with the help of simple and transparent methods.
Anganwadi Worker Saree Scheme Fund Benefits
Now, after making the changes, the Women and Child Development Department of the state will fix the amount for purchasing the Saree, i.e. Uniform, which is about Rs. 500. As we all know, in this scheme, the government provide two uniforms to all the Anganwadi Workers and their Assistant every year. So now the government has decided to Pay Rs.500 for one uniform. It means for two years you will get the Rs.1,000 every year.
So now, no Anganwadi worker or Assistant will get any Saree, because they all get a uniform amount directly in their bank account.
Mode of Fund Transfer in Anganwadi Worker Saree Scheme CG
The minister who announced these major changes, i.e. Laxmi Rajwade, stated that they only want to provide the same fund directly to the beneficiaries without involving any other persons. So the fund for each unform is direct transfer in the bank account of the Anganwadi Worker and Assistant through the DBT Mode of Transfer. Here, DBT Stands for the Direct Benefit Transfer System. By using the same payment method process, the government only wants to maintain transparency in the scheme.
CG Anganwadi Worker Saree Colour and Design
There are no any kind of changes made in the pattern of the saree design and colour. The pattern and design of the uniform Saree are available on the website. But you can buy the Sari fabric of your own choice, like you can buy Silk, Cotton or any other fabric as per your choice. The colour of the Saree must be Dark or Navy Blue and have the border pattern over the same. You can also match the Pattern of the Saree with the image available on the portal.

- Every worker and helper will have their own choice to select the fabric as per their comfort after getting the funds from the scheme.
- We all know that the government distribute the readymade uniform. But every person has their own size and fitting also not proper for the beneficiaries. Now, after purchasing their own choice of uniform, they can prepare their uniform according to their body fit.
- After receiving the fund of Rs. 500, they have the freedom to buy the uniform as per their choice without any kind of distribution.
Eligibility Criteria
- All the Anganwadi workers and Helper/Assistant of the Chhattisgarh state who are working in the state of Chhattisgarh and must be active employees are eligible to get this benefit.
- Every beneficiary also has their service record with the Department, because funds are transferred by the Department only to the account of an active employee.
