Scheme with the name of Chhattisgarh Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana is a welfare scheme of the state government under which the government provides support to poor families at the time of marriage of their Daughters. All the eligible families on the occasion of the Marriage of their daughters will get financial support of Rs.50,000/-. Among Rs. 50,000, the government provide the cheque in the shape of a draft of Rs.35,000 to the bride/daughter, and the rest of the amount can be used for the marriage expenses, like her Gifts, makeup and clothes, etc.

Scheme CG Kanya Vivah Yojana is implemented in the state, and financial support of Rs.50,000 will be given to every eligible girl of the family. It is because it completed the Largest Mass wedding ceremony in multiple locations under the Women and Child Development Chhattisgarh department. Till 10th February 2026, 6370 couples have got married under this scheme.

Motive of CG Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana

The government, while providing support to the families having motive to stop unnecessary expenditure at the time of marriage of girls. Apart from this, the government also promotes simple marriages for girls. The poor families who struggle daily to feed their families very hard, so how can they arrange the marriage of their daughters? So that’s why the government is now providing financial assistance to all the poor families of the state who are facing such difficulties. This kind of scheme also prevents the dowry system in marriages.

Financial Benefits

All the BPL Ration card holders of Chhattisgarh state who are going to celebrate the marriage of the girl who is above 18 years of age will get the financial support of Rs.50,000/-. The amount of Rs.7,000 will be used for makeup like Jewellery, Dress etc. And Rs.35,000 will be given as a cheque in the name of the bride. Rs.8,000 can be used for the Samuhik Marriage ceremony arranged by the government.

Requirements

• Residential Status: The family of the bride must be a permanent citizen or a domicile certificate holder of the state of Chhattisgarh.
• Age Criteria: The age of the girl should be a minimum of 18 years, and the age must be 21 years.
• Financial Status: The family should belong to the BPL category or the AAY, i.e. Antyodaya Anna Yojana category.
• Limited: This scheme only provides benefits for two girls in the family.

• Collect Application: Families need to collect the application form from their local Anganwadi centre, Women and Child Development Office or District Offices. CG Kanya Vivah Yojana Form is available free of Cost.
• Fill Form Column: Now read the form and fill out every important column of the form carefully, and write the clear details about the bride and groom.
• Attached Documents: Now attached the documents with the form.
• Submit to authority: after filling the form and attaching the documents, you can also submit the same to the concerned local authority from where you collected the form.
• Verification: After getting your form, the local field officers verify the family’s eligibility and then approve the benefits of the scheme. You also get the token to participate in the Samuhik Vivah event.
